Bow and Bay Windows

These are curved sets of windows that extend away from your home. Bay windows are three windows that curve by either 30 or 45 degrees. A bow window unit can have three to five panels that curve at 10 degrees.

Picture Windows

These are the windows you want if you are trying to “preserve the view”. With nothing but clean, clear glass, these allow the view in and are the most efficient windows on the market. With HUGE sizes possible, the view’s the limit!

Awning Windows

Awning windows are just like Casement windows with one key difference; hinge location. A awning window has the hinge on the top. These come in both crank and push out as well. These windows fit very well in tight spaces.

Expert Installation

For windows: Our Installation Manager has been installing windows and doors for over 30 years. There are few, if any, situations he has not seen and solved before. His crew has been with him for going on a decade now. He knows and will do what it takes to make sure everything is installed not only correctly, but beautifully. Also, we don’t just rip all the windows out on day one and leave. We work on a few windows (1 or 2 is typical, 3 occasionally) and leave your home safe, secure and weather tight before we leave every day.

  1. First step is to lay down tarps inside and outside in our work area(s).
  2. Cut the existing caulk. This allows for clean removal when we get to the 4th step.
  3. Remove the glass (yes, sometimes it breaks, but the goal is to get it out in one piece.)
  4. Remember the caulk being cut? Collapsing in the frame of the window is why we cut that caulk. This allows for a cleaner removal.
  5. Inspect the opening. We are looking for any damaged wood. Though rare (less than 2% of the time) it is vital the opening be free of damage so we can install properly.
  6. Insert window.
  7. Shim to ensure the window is level, square and plumb. Please note, most homes have settled and the openings may be a little off, but it is key the window is perfectly level, square and plumb for proper installation, operation and sealing.
  8. Screw the window into the frame of the home.
  9. Apply controlled expansion foam to seal the window in.
  10. Caulk inside and outside (or mortar if required)

About Proposals

Glen often doesn’t leave a proposal on the first visit. He would prefer to discuss the job with you, find out exactly what you want/need and then get you an exact price. To do so, he often negotiates with the suppliers to ensure the best pricing possible. Also and again, he really hates for homeowners to feel any pressure to buy.

The proposal will detail out the scope of work, the products being used and the price. If no changes are made by you, the price will not change.
